We used robe hooks similar to those in the cabin to hang our dish towels, thru buttonholes (per Tina's idea).

Yah, I just use the little plastic coated wire clothes pins.
Usually there is a "Hanging Loop" at one end of the towel and I just thread it through the latch bar at bottom of latch and then clip the loop. The clip is secured in that it won't allow the "Loop" to go back through the Hatch-Latch Bar... quick and easy and you can quickly just flip the towel over the top of the latch to get it out of the way..

On a real windy day, you can just flip them over the top.. or unclip the loop...

Just one way eh?? but I don't really use them to dry stuff, just Ambiance etc... heheh, fun...

We use the little teacup hooks for the towels and for our collapsible garbage container. We have them placed discreetly, and they are just the ticket!
