Very nice campgrounds. Set in Southern Illinois, there are many bluffs to hike, as well as lakes in the area to paddle. There's also a great lodge in the park that serves excellent food.

A violent storm blew through about a year or so ago and downed many trees, but my guess is that most will be cleared from the trails by this Spring.

We camped here April 24-27, 2017. The wildflowers were outstanding! We made several trips to the visitor center to identify flowers we didn't recognize. The staff at the visitor center were very friendly and helpful.
We went on a number of hikes in the park. They have done a nice job of estimating difficulty and time needed.
I was impressed that there were a number of playgrounds scattered throughout the park. A nice feature if you have kids along.
There is a horse stable that offers trail rides inside the park.
Will probably visit this park again.
