Last day of the school year. After today, we’ll both 190 days left in our careers. Finishing Year 35 while Mary Ellen has done 41. We’re actually both Active Retirees. The double dipping has been nice financially, but we are both ready to move on.

After a really dry spring, we got tons of liquid sunshine this weekend with more coming through the week. Had to drive Friday in a downpour that reached Frog Strangler levels.

Much needed rain coming this weekend, but it forced us to call off a camping trip. Mary Ellen finishes school tomorrow & I’ve got a week to go. One more year for both of us. We will finally make it to the Camp Inn Camp Out in 2027.

Cooler week for us but nothing like some of you. Just about the last of having to wear a jacket or sweatshirt for the spring unless it rains. I was surprised at having to add a layer last night in Columbia for a track meet. Usually, Columbia is hotter than the surface of the sun.

Not much rain here either. Winter is usually pretty wet in Upstate SC. Lake Hartwell is done 7-8 feet right now.

Rain, then rain with wind. Next the sun came out. Since we backed up 2 miles of Lake Hartwell behind our site, we had wind. Then really windy. And still pretty breezy at 9:47 pm.

Mary Ellen and I helped hide 2000 Easter Eggs and then helped herd kids during the hunt.
