Baraboo, WI... Ringling Bros Circus Museum

Karin and I were headed to pick up our new camper... evidently we go distracted somewhere along the line.... and ended up in Baraboo.... the home of the Ringling Bros Circus Museum... If you like the circus and are headed to pick up your camper... you might want to check it out. It was the winter quarters for many years.. so there is the elephant building, the horse building, etc where they spent the winter. The usual displays of posters, billboard but also the musical wagons, the wardrobe, and a real circus (only one ring) but believe me you are right there. We spent a couple of hours and could have spent more!
 
Baraboo is a great place - we have camped several times in Mirror Lake State Park, just down US12 a few miles. My wife and I spent some time in Baraboo about 32 years ago and always love getting back to that area. There's also a crane foundation worth a visit, right off of 12 on the way towards the Dells.
So, how's the new camper? Be sure to throw some pictures up when you get them.

I can't believe we missed that! Sounds very cool. We did see the Spam Museum, the Corn palace and the Mustard museum, but didn't stop for the Koolaid musuem.
There are some great places to visit on the way to Neecedah! next time -Baraboo!.

Please plan your cache hunts accordingly. This is a great/unusual hunt on private property, with the permission of the owner, but with restrictive hours now. IF YOU FIND THE BIG ORANGE GATE CLOSED DURING THESE HOURS, permission has been given by Delaney's Surplus, just north of the cache site, for entry through the area behind the store. (For a UNIQUE shopping experience stop in and say hello to Mr. D and Billy...ammo boxes and cache items have been seen inside). Dr. Evermore and the Forevertron are in the Guiness Book of World Records. This "art park" gives new meanings to the terms "Big Band" and "Big Bird"!! A big Thank You to JMorton for originally placing this cache.

One of my favorite places! Everyone has to see.

Ah wow, now I am even more looking forward to meeting you this afternoon. Delaney's is easily one of our favorite places too. Gotta love the Forevertron. We send people there all the time.
