PE Provincial Park Cabot Beach

We spent two nights here. PEI is a charming province, fairly flat with beaches and agricultural areas. This is the land of Anne of Green Gables and while all the tourist literature paints a picture of a tourist-laden place, in reality - maybe because we were there mid-week - there were no crowds. So, we visited Cavendish, home to Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of the "Anne" books AND the Canadian Potato Museum in O'Leary. We were also fortunate to attend a Ceildih (kay-lee), a gathering with music, dancing and lots of silly jokes. And, we had dinner at the Oyster Barn, just at the entrance to the park, which is considered one of the top ten seafood restaurants on PEI.

The campground was a grassy field with water and electric. Another section is right on the bluff above the water. There was a washroom/shower and laundry room.
