DO Apple Crisp

  1. Apple Crisp

    Filling:
    2 cans any pie filling
    ½ cup chopped nuts

    Topping Mixture:
    1 ½ cups flour
    ½ cup rolled oats
    ¼ tsp salt
    ½ tsp soda
    ½ cup brown sugar
    ½ cup white sugar
    12 tablespoons butter

    Pour 2 cans pie filling into a 12”DO.
    Mix together topping mixture and sprinkle on top of pie filling, then sprinkle on nuts.

    Cook:
    approx. 1-1.5 hour with most of coals(14-16)on top, smaller amount(8)on the bottom.

    ***Can easily be halved and cooked in 8-10"DO. Also good in the oven over the winter months.
