We purchased a small USB fan for the trailer and this works great in conjunction with our portable battery starter which has a USB outlet to get a fire going under any circumstances.

Take an egg carton put dryer lint, wood shavings into each opening and pour in wax. Each one will easily start most fires.

    Ok clarification

Already got the fire going using some form of fire starter or lint kindling etc.

Easy way to keep it going especially in one of the iron fire pits with tall sides and no wind assistance use the fan saves getting down on your knees blowing or fanning with something to get some oxygen in the fire. Helps when the wood you are using is just not wanting to burn.

Actually, we use torch oil. Pour 3 or so cups worth on , let it soak for a minute or two, then light the fire. Gets hot real quick.
