Picked up "Flash" our new 560 Ultra last Friday and brought her home to Lawrence, Kansas. She is #789. We camped at Clear Lake State Park Iowa on the way home. Cold night at 21 degrees with winds 20-30 mph. Used the trick of putting towels between the curtains and the window to collect condensation. It worked well but by morning they were all frozen to the windows. Our first night may be coldest we ever spend in Flash. Still we had a great time and look forward to our first season of camping. Hope to see you on the road. Steve

Congratulations! Your fun has just begun!

That was a cold first night! Did you have/use any type of heat? Be sure to always have a window or the roof vent opened slightly for ventilation, no matter how cold it is outside.....definitely better to be a little cold than a little dead.

Yep....we had the hatch open so we didn't die. No heat. We were more than a little cold.

Congratulations! A similar experience taught us that a little 1500 watt ceramic heater is NOT sufficient for those sorts of temperatures, even with a dog and a goose down comforter added to the mix. While we hope to never again see the thermometer dip below 32 degrees, we've added a heated mattress pad. We use it on colder nights to warm up the mattress before turning in. Ditto in the morning while we are waiting for the sun to warm things up.
