France Park is on the edge of an old stone quarry about five miles west of Logansport on old U.S. 24. I went swimming there as a kid about fifty-five years ago. The stone quarry hole has now filled up with water; there is a waterfall with an adjacent clearing for picnics. There is a gazebo in the clearing for small weddings. There are lots and lots of trees. I highly recommend this park. Go to breakfast at the White House in Logansport.
For seniors, the nightly rate is $17 (including water and electricity); all others pay $20.
