Was up at Lee Vining near Mono lake the week after trout opening day. The weather man said a storm was coming in and may snow... I had no fear !!!! I was in my Toaster so not to worry.. It snowed that night 2 to 3 inches. Felt bad for my buddy sleeping in his tent. Also found out snow dose not fall strait down... hence everything was white under my easy up . The water heater did not want to work and had to sweep out the snow from the kitchen. Still had a nice time and caught trout. Yee Haa.

    awesome!!

would love to hear your report on how the campsites were in that neck of the woods. Lots of fantastic places to go near Mono Lake.

Mono Lake is about 5 hours east of San Francisco - sort of. It's about an hour east of Yosemite.

it is on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, within striking distance of the highest mountain peaks in California

The Sierra did get some snow in late-May/early-June
