Janes Island State Park in Crisfield, MD is a quiet, small, pet friendly camp ground. Bring your kayak or canoe as there are canal trails to explore. We were there over Easter weekend this year - it was cool but pleasant and best of all - bug free this time of year! The sunsets were great... There are a few short walking / bike trails but nothing very extensive. If you like seafood, there is plenty to be found in Crisfield (short bike ride or drive).

    Hi!

My husband and I tent-camped there many years ago -- it was very nice then. We had a scare one night when we awoke to something sniffing around our tent. We were so nervous about it. Today we laugh about it, but then we were afraid to move! We love the eastern shore of MD.

    Your photos are beautiful!

    Best,
    Diane

It was probably a possum or skunk...

Actually a ranger suggested a dog! Diane
