Kankakee River State Park

Not too sure about this place. Would love to hear a better review if anyone's been here. It sounds like it should be much better based on its history, size and location along the river. We arrived really late, basically got yelled at by the campsite host even though we already had reservations and her check in post said closed.

It was our first evening after leaving Necedah and basically had to unpack everything to find anything in order to cook dinner, make a bed, etc...But that's nothing on the campground's end.

I reserved the spot before leaving. Thought we had water but didn't, had power but had the wrong cord so we were off the grid but completely fine in our little teardrop. Thought the Chippewa campsite had restrooms/shower facilities, they had none. So we drove over to the larger campsite to steal shower facilities the next morning and scoot on down the road.
