Big campground with 260 paved sites where you’ll have water, electricity & a fire ring. There are some electric primitive & an overflow primitive areas but you’ll be pretty far from the bathroom here. As you drive in, you’ll pass by these areas first. You will be on grass in these areas.
The bathhouse is centrally located so if you camp on the inner loop you are closer. A lot of large trees in the campground, but some are exposed a lot of the day. Swimming pool & laundry facilities are available. The campground is convenient to I-75 & I-64.
It is right next to the Kentucky Horse Park. There are paved bike paths that connect to the campground & you can ride into Lexington on these.
We’ll be back here again. It is the closest campground to our daughter’s apartment & we had a good experience. Mostly big campers & RVs, but it was quiet in here.
