  1. D43B8245-BCA5-4E19-8F4B-B0B9BDBE9D5C.jpeg We’re set up for the weekend. Should be good weather and this 12 Site Campground at Keowee-Toxaway State Park is really quiet and we have a great view of the mountains from site#4.

Table Rock Mountain in SC, a nice but tough hike to the top. Great views of the SC Piedmont from up there on top of this monadnock. Table Rock State is a popular place in SC.

Oconee Bell Flower in Devil’s Fork State Park. The flower on grows in a small area of SC and NC. We live only 35 Miles from here but it would grow by us. This park is on Lake Jocassee and when the lake was built it covered much of the flower’s habitat. This lake along with 2 others, Lake Keowee (we are camping on it this weekend) and the Bad Creek Resevour were built to help keep the nuclear plant in the area functioning.

Jeremiah in the glow of sunrise. We are supposed to be here one more night, but it will be raining by Monday morning. We may break camp late this afternoon to avoid having to pack in the rain.

Table Rock Mountain seen From Caesar’s Head State Park. Both are popular hiking destinations but Caesar’s Head is the easier one to get to the summit. It is about 200 ft from the parking lot. This is a popular destination for crazy cyclists like me who enjoy a 7 Mile climb to the top. Felt strange driving a car up it today.
