Anyone using their Roku as a Media Player while camping (not Media Streamer)? If you have your media library backed up to a portable drive, you can actually play that content through your Roku box.

Your Roku box can not only stream internet content (like Netflix, Hulu, etc.) when it has an internet connection, but it can also play media files (like .mp4, .mkv, etc.) from a local drive or portable hard drive.

Just download the Roku Media Player channel and connect up your local drive via the USB port and it can now play your locally stored content.

    Just thought I would share.
