We had a great trip to Lake Powhatan near AshevilleNC. Made it to 3 of the areas many breweries, Sierra Nevada which has a great restaurant and patio to hang out on, New Belgium which is on the bank of the French Broad River just across from the River Arts District and Green Man in downtown. All good with the first two having beautiful settings. Asheville is a favorite destination for us anyway but Lake Powhatan is now one of my favorite campgrounds. The only problem we encountered was waking up to a flat tire in our Outback. Luckily, the campground is in the part of town where all the car dealers are located.
