550 / 560 Ultra Marker Lights

I don't know if it is common knowledge that the firm where Camp Inn had gotten their teardrop-shaped side marker lights (at least the Ultra version) went out of business. Camp Inn bought the molds, etc to start producing them in-house. Not content with the quality of the originals (we had lost three or four amber lenses within four years due to rock chip damage), they improved the lenses by making them thicker and using a stronger plastic/resin.

I suspect we've traveled at least 10,000 miles with the new amber Ultra marker lenses, and they survived many miles of construction detours in Baja and enough highway driving in the States that we ended up with three rock chips in our windshield. My sense is that these new marker lights are far more durable than the originals, and are another sign of Camp Inn's commitment to quality.
