As the Camp-Inn community continues to grow in numbers, gathering events (hosted & attended by enthusiastic Camp-Inn owners) will also increase in number.

As such, we would like to ask you to keep in mind the following when naming your event: Please obtain permission before using the Camp-Inn name or Camp-Outt (with capital C & O, a hypen and/or the double “t”). “Camp-Inn”, “Camp-Outt” and “CICO” are all trademarked.

Although we are more than happy to encourage & support any gatherings, use of the Camp-Inn name implies that we, as a business, are sponsoring the event.

The same applies to the use of the moniker Camp-Inn Camp-Outt. As flattering as it is that people would like to use the CICO name, there is only one CICO – the one located here in Wisconsin.

Use of the Camp-Inn name may be considered if it is made clear that it is not Camp-Inn but another entity such as the “Unofficial Camp-Inn Forum.” Evan received permission from us to use the Camp-Inn name for the forum as long as it was called "Unofficial." We consider the phrase “Unofficial Camp-Inn” to be Evan’s trademark and any use of this phrase in naming an event should also be cleared through him.

We, as a company, do not want to encourage a perception of being “exclusive.” The Camp-Inn Camp-Outt is open to ALL camping enthusiasts regardless of camping style or brand. Many of our best friends, that we camp with on a regular basis, do not own Camp-Inns. We are concerned that naming an event something like “Camp-Inn Owners Gathering” would sound exclusive.

If you have a question about whether or not a gathering name is appropriate, just email us.
