I restored a 1948 Teardrop camper. Lots of work but my wife and I have been absolutley shocked at the interest in it ( not us). We have had people honk at us on the interstate and truck drivers wave us over so they can see it. My wife gave up napping in it while I went trout fishing because people come and knock on the door to see if we are home!
Stops in gas stations always bring a crowd to look. I had no idea the level of interest. we towed it to Arkansaw last year and back and the year before to Memphis and Louisville.
We have tried to stay on route 66 when we can as the trailer had a route 66 poster in it. I have it restored too and it is on metal on the side of the trailer. My wife and I are not spring chikens anymore and I believe she thinks I am a little crazy but she is a great sport and goes along. What a blast this has truly been. Jon Hunter
