First 27 nights: Some questions and impressions

When outside temp is low 20s or lower, we use small electric heater. The camper heats and cools quickly. I open the roof vent, set thermostat, and crack the window on my side. After some adjustments of window, heater, and vent, I am able to reach a state of equilibrium.

Receiver Hitch Optional Reciever For The Camp Inn

FYI.... I posted this a few years back. I had reached or exceeded the weight limit. I could feel it in my steering. Front end a little light. Steve

Rain In Female 7 Pin Plug On Camper

I have not posted in a while, there are plenty of excellent contributors. I just read and learn. I did a search on a problem I had this past weekend. Came up empty, so I thought I would post. We left camp to visit family in the neighborhood. My moms 95th birthday. How cool is that? 61 children...

    Shark Hide Application

I applied sharkhide to my camper about 2 years after it was born. I buffed it out and got a reasonable shin. I then followed the sharkhide directions. I have had this coat for about 3 years now. One thing I noticed......below the door on the aluminum our naked legs, rubbing the aluminum, have...

    Backing up

There have been some very good write-ups on this forum about backing up. The length of the camper makes it difficult. It seems someone said with the camper and car straight, begin backing up with your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel. Overhand is my preference. Begin turning the wheel...

    Furnace Furnace Option - Needed?

I have used my Mister Heater in the winter during wilderness camping. I set up the side tent and put the heater on the top of an action packer and leave the door open. This puts the heater in easy reach. I leave the fan on with very little opening to move very little air. I open the window in...

What made you choose a campinn?

Why did I get a Camp-Inn?....I looked for something to keep me from setting a tent for a quick one or two day hunt. I wanted a tent on wheels. After looking at a few different brands,I found the Camp-Inn website and knew this product was special. I called Cary and we talked. He got us in touch...

    water jug?

I use the big blue jugs. Five gallons I think. I place the jug on the sink. I then take the sprayer off the spray hose and siphon from the big jug into the fresh water tank. It takes plenty of time but I just set it up and let it go. I then replace the sprayer when complete. Steve

    Lots of opinions on Canopies

Re: Canopies (once again) Since I have been off line for a while this may have been covered....I ordered new poles for my Northern Breeze. The previous ones had just bent too much in some high winds including a brush with a tornado in the area. They cost me something like $16.50 each plus $9.00...

    Furnace Furnace Option - Needed?

I really thought about that for sometime. I went with no furnace. Since I was coming from year round tent camping, I figured I could handle the lack of heat. I hunt a couple of weeks every January and know it can get cold. A couple of years ago it got down to the mid teens. It was ok. If I knew...

    FOUND Stolen Camp-inn

If this unit is ever on the road, I would think it will go to a fixed camp and never taken out....But if any of us see a Camp-Inn whose owner is aloof, be suspicious.
