    Got Milk?

I buy those small boxes of shelf stable milk for camping. They need no refrigeration. I think they are Horizon and are organic. And one box is coffee and cereal. I bought them specifically for the desert where every inch counts, but they are really very good so I just use them.

Air Conditioner Poll: Ac Or No Ac

Another from the Northwest. No A/C. Where I go it is usually cool at night, sometimes cold. Depending on what time of year it is and how high up we even use a spot of the heater to dress/undress. But if I lived or spent much time in the South, the NE or the Midwest I may have been tempted to...

    Crater Lake National Park

Re: Crater Lake, Oregon Yes, you are right, the most incredible color of blue... We live close by and I ride my BMW around the Rim in the summer (if you go be sure to take the Rim drive) and we snowshoe to the top in winter, especially fun when the road is closed and you're the only ones up...

    CampInn battery's amp hours?

I bought the larger, 72 a/h battery originally. It is a standard wet lead acid battery and I think I abused it and it only lasted into the second year. I have since replaced it with an AGM sealed 60 a/h Optimus battery. No maintenance. I don't normally run my fan much so it lasts 4 or 5 days...

    Mattress, poles and battery

I think it was in the department with sheets and pillow cases. I often suffer an out-of-body experience when I go in. But, yeah, I think that was it. There were other "toppers" there, and, again, this was 2 1/2" of foam bonded to 1 1/2" of memory foam, so the total height is the same, 4"...

    Solar Panel Project

I don't have a solar panel on my tear. I have a 64watt UniSolar panel I had on an RV a few years ago. I had it on a 25' cord and could park my RV in the shade and move the panel, at the correct angle, into the sun. That size panel would keep 2 6v golf cart batteries, rated at 225 amp/hour...

    Itinerary International Redwood Gathering

Yeah, I've got my reservation. Looks like there will be a good representative of CampInns. It'll be our first IRG and really looking forward to it.

    Hi from Chicago

It's a beautiful neck. We've been here three years and teardropped the whole time. Great access to the mountains, right on the east slope of the Cascades, with teardropping, hiking, kayaking. There's volcanos, lava fields, beautiful desert and the ocean is a morning drive away. Yes, do, come and...

    Hi from Chicago

I lived in Chicago many years ago, well, Western Springs. A southwest train suburb. Great train service to the city. I used to drive a Porshe so no trailer pulling but I did have a roll with my tent, sleeping bag and a few odds and ends that I would throw into the back and head up to Elkart...

    Hi from Oregon

I was hoping to meet some new folk here. From anywhere, really, but I wonder how many good CampInns have made to the Great Pacific Northwest?

    Hello

Hi. Don't know how far you are from the Adirondacks, but there is a teardrop event there in June. I found out from the site http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/ which is the Teardrops and Tiny Travel Trailers site. I belong to the Jefferson State Teardroppers and we do, as I'm sure the NE club...

    Hi from Mark and Cyn

Yeah, we were lifelong tenters, so it is all luxury to us. I really like the kitchen. It, too, is ready to go when you lift the hatch. Got all the side tables, which make organization and work easier. We pondered much on how much luxury we required. Not much. But we got all the stuff anyway...

    Hi from Mark and Cyn

This is something we debated before buying the Ultra. Whether to get the base and just build the kitchen like we wanted. I wonder what you had in mind? You don't get it till May? Yeah, I remember the, what, 10 month wait we had. Couldn't wait. Will you pick it up?

    Subaru Forester

I've got a 2007 Subaru Forester LL Bean. We tow in the mountains a lot here in Oregon and the little Subaru does OK. On the steep pulls it's probably in 3rd gear and we're doing 45-50mph, but it's AWD gets me into and most importantly, out of some really nice spots. If we've got the boats on...

    Mattress, poles and battery

We had 'em install a hitch at the build and got a hitch mounted bike carrier so we carry them on the tear. We, also, have a Thule roof box that we sometimes use on the car, when the kayaks aren't on top.
