    Single cup coffee makers

My sweet spot when roasting is just a few snaps into second crack. Starbucks has THE worst drip coffee. I call it “Charbucks”. Coffee Bean actually has very good, single origin light roasted drip coffee.

I use the Behmoor 2000 roaster in my garage. A great personal use roaster for up to a pound of beans per roast. Has smoke suppression but not recommended for in the house. Joe Behmoor, the inventor, provides great CampInn level customer service. Behmor 2000AB Plus Home Coffee Roaster

Kevin, Don’t have a jet boil so not sure. Works perfectly on the CI stove, don’t see why it wouldn’t work on an open fire. Randy

On the subject of boiling water, I can’t recommend the STS Olicamp Pot highly enough, one of my favorite pieces of gear. Boils water twice as fast as a regular pot and the handles stay cool to the touch. Use it a lot. Pays for itself in propane savings. Randy https://a.co/d/eXTyfx2

    Single cup coffee makers

I am a huge coffee snob and even roast my own beans at home. But while camping I want easy and convenient. I use a “manual Keurig.” No mess, no fuss, just add boiling water, press the plunger and throw out the pod. It actually makes a decent cup if you select your pods carefully (single...

Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

I live in Southern California, Irvine, Orange County. Our house is 6 miles from the ocean and sits up on a hill so we get the ocean breeze and onshore flow keeping us much cooler than further inland. The Mediterranean climate in Orange County gives us what I believe to be the best weather in...

SOLD Rei Alcove With 2(!) Wind Walls - All Four Sides

FWIW I recommend turning the alcove around 180 degrees from the one in the picture and putting the long end over the hatch. Much more room that way.

    Performance Chip

With $4.75 per gallon gas prices in California and my truck only getting 16 mpg in the city, even a 1-2 mpg improvement will have a ROI. Haven’t driven far enough yet, will report back. I am hopeful! I have a 3.6 L, 305 hp Pentastar V6 in my Ram 1500, didn’t get the hemi V8 in hopes of better...

    Performance Chip

Installed this $180 performance chip on my 2014 Ram 1500. Claims to add +35hp and +3-5 MPG. Reviews seem to back up the claims but you know how that goes! If true, it will pay for itself very quickly given gas prices in California. If not, I have a very expensive and very cool looking green...

    Mini Toolkit

Took your advice Cary and got this mini, 1 ounce ball peen hammer and shortened the handle. Not sure if it would do much outside of very small nails but I have a hammer! (Isn't that a song? If I had a hammer...... :)) https://a.co/d/14I8kpG

400 miles in a week is my kind of driving pace! I definitely have trouble with anything more than three hours in a day, I think I have driving related narcolepsy!

Anyone Go From A Van To A Campinn

I would likely sell the CI if I got a van. Having to not tow a trailer is one of the advantages in my view. An absolute downside is it’s another vehicle to maintain, insure and park so that’s a big consideration. So nice that I can tuck the CI into the garage. A van would not fit in my garage...

Have to admit, have a two week supply of dehydrated food……and some snares when that runs out. Have to stop watching Alone!
