    Itinerary 10th Annual Camp-inn Camp-outt Website Active

Wow what a great weekend. Great to finally meet you also Rick and so many others to finally be able to match faces and names even though I am horrible at remembering names. It often takes me multiple times to get a face and name to stick. Hope it didn't sound rude asking "what was your name...

    Chinese Chestnuts

I have Chinese Chestnuts ready if anyone is interested I can bring a bunch with to CICO. They are good to eat and pretty easy to grow. Bigger than the American Chestnut but does not grow into the quality of tree as the American Chestnut. You do not want to plant one of these trees in your yard...

    Clay mud coated gnats

Man that sounds like the same kind of stuff Becky and I ran into in Hells Canyon in Idaho earlier this month. I never seen anything like it. It just wouldn't come off. The chunky stuff would come off but that film was something else. I took it thru the car wash 3 times then finally carefully...

    Single cup coffee makers

We use a diffuser quite often. We see them all the time at flea markets, junk stores and antique shops. Think we paid about $5. for ours. We bought one then found a cooler one and bought it to. Ours has a nice little wood handle so no need to use a put holder.

    Long Haul summer trip

That is a beautiful area up there. Most of the Michigan Lake Michigan coastline is beautiful. Don't think Becky has any Michigan rocks yet.

Betsey, I can't remember what days I put in for, for coming up. I think I put in for Fri.-Sat. Is it a problem if we come Wed. or Thurs.? Do I need to let you know ahead of time or can we just show up? Thanks David Olson

Care of outside of camp inn

Why not just stop by a car wash and use the vacuum there, then you don't have to carry another one with. I bought a 12 volt one nd took it a couple times but never used it so it now stays home. Ours really didn't get much dirt in it in the 2 months we were gone. A damp towel works great for...

    Long Haul summer trip

Thanks Jim, Look closely though to the right of my 50 night icon. You will see a +40 there. We only have 10 more nights to go for our 100 nights the first year. Which I fully intend to get. I'm just chompin" at the bit to get going again. The camper has been cleaned and we weeded everything...

    Solar: issues to consider?

After our summer on the road, I am reconsidering the rigid panel thing. It became a pain in the A-- moving it around all summer, keeping it wrapped when not in use so it didn't get scratched. Short trips no problem. I am looking at the Powerfilm 60W foldable panel. This is an Iowa made item...

    Wheels

I paid $27. for 1 complete set. But I also bought a tub of bearing grease. So bearings alone for me maybe $21-22.

    Assistance moving the TD

If you are talking about trying to move your TD into place when it is not hooked up to the TV. I mounted a ball hitch on to the front of our lawn mower. I drop the hitch onto the ball and just drive the camper into place. I do keep the guide wheel down slightly just to keep a bit of weight off...

    Stove Stove

Another vote for the CI stove. Besides people are really impressed when they see it roll in and out of storage. Another "oh thats how they did that". Just be careful it you have a LARGE pot on it and the heat is to high the flames have no where to go but up the sides which can mark the back wall.

    Wheels

That is a great idea to carry an extra set of bearings. I went to my local parts dealer yesterday and got an outer and inner set of bearings and the grease seal. I just put them in a bag and put with the spare tire. At least that way if something were to happen you may not have to wait around...

    Long Haul summer trip

I think I actually sleep better in our 560 than I do at home. It was so nice to not really hear any world or local news for 2 months. I think I read 2 news papers one small town and one U.S. News and maybe saw 2 hours of TV news. I didn't miss any of the mayhem. I really think that adds to a...
