    New Ownership

The covid scare kept me off the road and at home for more than a year. Not so much because I was scared but because this caused mass hysteria. I enjoyed my time at home but now am ready to get back out there. I brought out my 2014 Camp Inn. I washed it up and it looks brand new.

    Sad Face Episode: Corrosion

Completely agree with this solution. You don't want the corrosion to continue. If the shinnyness doesn't match don't even worry about it. Get rid of the corrosion and eventually it will blend. Sad that it happened but have to move on.

    Patio Umbrella Solution For Galley

With the 8 foot Sportbrella two people can sit comfortably in the shade but if someone is cooking it is a little crowded. I have been using the 8 foot to which I added a couple of flaps to cover the space at the hinge area. That way rain doesn't get into the galley shelves. It works great but I...

    Hello From The Diamond State!

It is so much fun to see how excited new owners are and think back. I ordered a 2013 550 and before they had begun building it decided I wanted a 560 and changed my order. I waited 9 months and it was so worth it. Just like having a baby. Mine could have been ready in January of 2014. I could...

    Weekend Campground Reservations Near Impossible

When traveling over the last few years I have found it more difficult to find camp sites especially because I prefer to drive and find a campsite on the fly. I don't like making reservations. I find a place I want to stop, hike, have lunch or whatever which puts me behind and have to drive like...

    Hi All. Im Newbie.

I haven't been on this site in quite a while. So fun to see how excited people still are about this little camper. I picked up my 560 in May of 2014. Can't believe it has been over 6 years. I have had so much fun traveling except for this year. Because of Covid and other problems I stayed home...

    Off To The Far Fars!

Joan, You are the reason that I now own a 560 instead of a 550. I can't thank you enough for encouraging me to just sit in your 560. I took off my shoes, slipped in and realized that I had to change my order. I loved the shape and size of the 550 but am so glad that I am the proud owner of the...

    FOUND Side Entrance Tent

I have a side tent and rain fly that I have never used. I set it up once to make sure I knew enough about it to get it up out in the wild. I got it because I was hoping my mom could travel with me and she never did.

    New Ownership

Thank you Evan. Without you we would have not had this wonderful resource. Before I got my trailer I spent a lot of time on here reading everything I could find about CampInn. It led me to my first meet-up at MosseyRock. I had already ordered a 550. I met Joan who allowed me to sit in her 560...

    Replaced Thermostat

Thank you Rotus8 for your very clear explanation on how to install this thermostat. I continued to have problems with mine. It pushed very hard into the off position and over time the metal contact piece pushed away from the contact. I straitened it once and it worked for a while longer but on...

Dinnerware And How To Store It?

I have three corelle divided 10 inch dinner plates. They stack to less than an inch and a quarter. I carry them on edge in a small plastic silverware holder along with as many disposable plates as will fit. Only use them when I have steak to cut or things I don't want running together. mostly...

Alcan Cover Alcan Cover For 560 Ultra?

I do remove my alkan cover each time I wash my camper. It is really ugly under there but no rock dings. I have a rock tamer on the back of the car to also help protect the trailer. I want to retain as much value in the trailer as possible. When I pass the trailer on to the next person I want it...

What Do You Do With The Bike Rack At The Campground?

Oh sorry, the answer to the question is the swing away hitch will interfere with the fridge table. It has no effect on the dining table.

What Do You Do With The Bike Rack At The Campground?

I do not use the side table for the fridge. I keep the fridge in the back of the van. I could not lift the fridge from the camper to the table without emptying it and them repacking it after moving it. It got so hot in the galley while traveling that the fridge would shut down anyway. It was...

    Three Strikes And I'm Out

I did pay attention and there was so much information in that orientation that for a couple of days my mind just went blank. It should start coming back to you and you can always look at the manual to refresh your memory. Good luck. Just have fun with it.

What Do You Do With The Bike Rack At The Campground?

I got a Wilco Hitch swing off ebay. It is expensive but I feel it has been worth it for me. It has been especially handy when stopping at rest area for lunch. Always had to unload bike to access galley. It was a real pain. Now just pull a pin and swing it out of the way.

    Dometic In Bear Country

On my trip starting in August for over a month I carried my fridge in the car. You can set it so it shuts off before draining the battery. Since I was traveling alone and didn't need the full capacity of the fridge I froze two of those Cashew jars from Costco and put them in the fridge. I kept...

    Clay mud coated gnats

I crawled under the trailer and it is spotless. I am amazed. I pulled the trailer out and washed it and it looks beautiful. Need to clean off some small spots of road tar. I will do that tomorrow and clean and oil the jacks and get the water system ready for winter.

    Clay mud coated gnats

If you take the trailer through the car wash is there a spray that sprays upward and washes the under side of the trailer. I went through some horrible mud. It was a lot deeper than it looked. I must have spun a little going through as my rock tamer was completely covered with mud and a lot got...
