    Anything damaging about patina?

Ah, this is where my philosophy differs, I suppose. I am not purchasing it for it's resale value, but to use it well. I might still take your advice with the Woody wax just because it sounds like it will protect the investment a little better and make it longer between a "deep" clean...

    Anything damaging about patina?

Is there possibly a purpose to letting your teardrop start to look aged? Less likely to be stolen? Will a patina damage the aluminum? Is it bad for the teardrop to be a little dirty? Just wondering... I'm not overly into cleaning.

    Yosemite

Speaking of Yosemite... my dad just sent me this link. Quite an advertisement for packing up your camp-inn in early spring and heading out to California.

Build Photos My Build Has Started!

Here's what there is for week 4. I must admit to a small shock of fear when looking at picture 19 (The inside is panelled.) It sure looks like no windows are planned to be installed, but they must cut holes in the installed panels at a later step. The front is covered. The inside is...

    Announcement Camp-inn #364 Underway!

Re: Camp-Inn #348 Underway! You'd probably get on well with my step-dad, who is busy restoring a Stanley Steamer and has a 1912 Buick he drives around at old-car meets.

Except that I don't plan to mount it on the roof. Having the trailer in the shade and the panel in the sun some distance away appeals to me more.

    Paper Towel Holder

Re: over-charged me for shipping! Thanks for the heads up... I had ordered one from them on Sunday as well. I logged into their site and their order records showed a charge of $12.46 for shipping giving me a total of $26.46 to my Visa card. I couldn't find a phone number for them, so I...

    Locks for trailer hitch

This video shows the claw in use and it is clearly not going through the wheel.

    Locks for trailer hitch

Just a thought, but one of the tire claw locks, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Tire-Claw-XL-Lock-491KA/dp/B002AQLQAK Might just do the trick better... then even if the thief brings their own chains, the trailer still wouldn't move well.

    New Teardrop

I'm just wondering what length electric cord is recommended to hook to shore power.

    Solar Panel Project

I would imagine that if you wanted to permanently attach a panel to the room of your teardrop, you might want a semi-flexible panel that you could glue on such as this one: http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/solar_panels_boats/

    Portable heater for decent $$

I assume a space heater of that wattage would pretty much require being hooked to shore power, or do you have a big inverter? I've got a mini-inverter that runs up to 300W that I plan to use in a pinch. I suppose if you ran it only to heat up the cabin initially, it could be used on battery...
