Welcome and Congrats! There should be a small metal tag in the top left corner of the galley with the build number on it. It will tell you which number you have. She looks like she's in great shape! Enjoy her!

For scouts, we use the small make up pads and dip them in wax melted in a scented warmer. You just rip them in half and light the cotton fibers. Wax slows the burn so you have time for the flame to catch. Cheap and can mass produce for a troop of 30 kids + adults.

As a kid, I lived in Ellicott City MD and we would spend multiple weekends a summer going to either Cunningham State Falls or Eagles Nest Campground out on the coast. Great memories at both. Loved hiking out to the falls at Cunningham and playing in the water pools. It was always a good time...

Awesome write up! We own 944 and have 4 kids so we are slowly outfitting to accommodate everyone. Older kids sleep in tents and our twin 2.5 year olds sleep in the bunk with us. I'm looking into a Skybox for kid gear. With that installed on the 560, can you still use the fan?

Old_Prospector- Does the Skybox interfere with the fan? If so, how do you handle at campground?

We just made the trip out in July to pick up ours. We were coming from CA and the trip to and from is A LOT of driving. I'd recommend picking a couple spots and taking it easy for your camping portion of the trip. You'll have plenty of driving to do when you turn west and head for home.

We have 4 kids and the older two sleep in a tent outside. We use a coleman easy up I picked up at Costco a year ago for scouting. The Coleman sets up and tears down in less than 5 minutes. Poles are integrated and it all fits in a duffle bag that can ride in the trailer or tow vehicle...

Or wheel bearing kit as it were... :)

Glad I found the site. I'm currently saving for a Camp Inn 560 Ultra. I have 2 kids (a son who's 5 and a daughter who's 3) so I need the bunk set up. I'm really excited and looking for any tips or suggestions on add ons and trips. Looking forward to being part of the group. Thanks!
