    Leaks, Leaks and More Leaks

I had the opportunity to validate the rear hatch sealing done at Camp Inn April a year ago. At Virginia Beach we had a gale( associated with Ian). The CI was facing west with the winds from the east. No leaks, at all. Kind of bouncy through the night.

FL Looking For Campgrounds, Parks, Etc In Fl

Pinelog State Forest, Sand Pond Campground, North of Panama City is a low use campground. There is a dump station but no sewer hookups so the big rigs shy away. There are some primitive sites good for a CI, in particular primitive site 3.

Does The Shore Power Cover Have An O-ring

The cover has a built in “O” ring as part of the cover. Perhaps yours is old. Mine, after 10 years, tends to be loose.

    Bumper Installation Issue!

Just a thought: Perhaps a plastic insert like the ones used to secure a bolt in concrete.

Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

I had a couple of check engine lights on my xterra over the past year while towing. The car shook heavily and stalled. Each time I engaged the clutch, pulled over, restarted and then went my merry way, it finally threw a code near home. It was a crank shaft position sensor $15 aftermarket, $$80...

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

Yes, had to take the front receiver off to make room for the Warn winch. (I had to put a skid plate insert on the front receiver to avoid “full stops” on rutted roads.)

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

After trying all sorts of options (bike on CI roof, bike on CI hitch, bike on front mounted TV hitch, bike on roof of TV, folding bike inside CI) I am using a One Up on the CI receiver then moving the One Up to a duel receiver on the TV, if needed.

What's The Height Of The Wide-open Galley Hatch?

Height can vary by the level of the trailer. Low in the front, more head clearance in the back.

    Trailer Tongue Break

My driver’s side of the A frame has a re enforcing bead. The other side has a tube for a cable run welded on). Is this not standard?

    Lots of opinions on Canopies

You didn’t ask me but… (When I took my CI to the nest last year Cary was somehow able to restrain himself when he saw how many holes I’ve punched in the skin, I can never use the term “pristine”).

    Fantastic Fan Rain Sensor

I added a vent cover to resolve the “open and close” concern. Yes, it looks like a blister on top but I can keep the fan running in most rain events. If it’s a tremendous downpour the vent can still close automatically. Since installing the awning and a ½ rook basket the vent cover blends in.

    Couch Mode W/ Mattress Topper

I took out the foam, inserted a ½ inch high density foam, then inserted the thermo foam topper. With the ½ inch ventilation layer under the mattress it works out about right.

    Misc Bunduawn

I can typically stow the awning in less than 5 minutes. Opening is about 2. I have had a rare memory lapse that makes me start over. I take great care to watch the “wires” that fold to form the peak. I get more comments on the awning than the CI, probably because it is all one sees until they...

    Fridge / Cooler Coleman Cozy

Plagiarized explanation : “To understand freezing point depression, it helps to first understand how melting and freezing work. Ice absorbs energy (heat) from the environment to break the hydrogen bonds that make it a solid, allowing it to turn into a liquid. In contrast, water releases energy...

SOLD 2014 Camp-inn 550 Ultra In New Hampshire

I camp often in pine woods. To get the globs off gently I apple a little bug and tar remover then pick at them with my thumbnail. It’s very gentle.

    Onboard Charger

Contacting Campinn is a good course of action. My original 2013 charge burned out and they had a replacement. It took about two hours to replace. Apparently, a bad charger will damage the battery.

100w Solar Not Enough Or Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Under average conditions, you get about ⅓ of the rated output from solar. Just what I’ve come to believe.

What Amp Extension Cord Do I Need!

Some of us use two cords 10-12 ft long. Use one if close to the power outlet, two if further away. The CI power inlet is generally on the far side from the power pedestal. Also, get an outlet adapter in case the pedestal doesn’t have a standard 15/20 amp plug.
