Common occurrence on our 2013 Outback. Sometimes just brake light, sometimes brake and check engine, sometimes brake, check engine and cruise. Sometimes it's the gas cap. Have even replaced the gas cap. Sometimes it goes off on its own after a period of driving or after engine is shut off...
