Thanks. I can fit it in the van but as you say it takes up alot of space. Perhaps I can move everything else onto the roof rack. Remove front wheel and put the bike upside down.

I found the $5 standby mode works well enough for email low res TV and android auto . Of course when everyone started using it for Android auto they changed it to not work above 10 mph. I use the auto kit which includes a long cigarette adaptor cord.

I mount mine inside my van with suction cup mounts on the inside of the skylight. Works fine. For slightly better reception I've had it on the dashboard. I only watch YouTube and Netflix and use it for Android auto while driving.

I believe that base has a sloped inner pan.with a drain. You can hook up you intake to the drain and reuse the soapy water. Then drop the intake into a bucket of clean water for a rinse . Saving alot of water

I just went the other way. I had an issue with the chrome pitting and starting to get rust spots. I did buy second hand and dont know how it was maintained but it had only been used twice.
