We met them at Cumberland Gap National Park in the summer of 2022. We were were camping near each other for a couple of nights.

Only a half inch of snow here, but it got icy over night. Clearing up now since it is sunny. Been a while since we’ve had snow twice in the same winter and it had been three years since we’d had any at all. Not sure I remember 3 winter weather events in winter here.

Snow probably passes south of us this time, but it will not get much above freezing all week.

Generator is completely installed & ready to roll. Gas upgraded our meter. Installers did the load test. Only downside is now we have to pay. We had refused to pay until it was operational.

After the winter storm on Friday, we are at mid 50s all week. Looks that ends next week when we are back to possible snow again midweek.

Snow and ice predicted for us on Friday. Right now calling for over 2 inches. Hopefully more & less ice. Had a whole house generator installed after the hurricane, but it’s not set up to work. Waiting on a part to connect it to the fuse box. Been getting the run around about it and not happy...

It was either ‘06 or ‘07.

I’ve seen Falcons in the wild twice & it was on back to back days. We were camping in Shenandoah NP and were at Hawksbill Mountain and saw them. They had a Ranger talk there about them. The next day we drove to DC and saw them in the city. We were up in the tower of the old Post Office there.

Watching the NHL Winter Classic. Enjoying a cocktail, a Sazerac. Probably won’t make it to midnight. Getting up early to drive to Atlanta to see our daughter in the morning. On the other I’ll probably be up at midnight once the Battle of Anderson begins & the fireworks start up.

Made it safely back across the Palmetto State Park dodging one Turkey vulture and only made my mother scream twice about my driving and/or other’s driving abilities. Didn’t see any of the remaining escaped monkeys in Yemassee, SC and made good time through the bomb plant. Had a delightful lunch...

One more night on the coast and then we get to drive back across the Palmetto State tomorrow.

Been 50 or lower with 20 mph winds here. Rainy one day too. We’ve had a great time, but it’s been cold at times.

Hope it’s warmer there. The wind has made for some cold walks on the beach in SC.
