Oh Betsy, a big thank you to you, Craig, Carey and all who help. We have looked forward to this event ever since our first one in 2024. Looks like great weather, and we would have been at the site by Wednesday, EXCEPT: about 4 weeks ago we both tested positive with the latest strain of Covid. Deb bounced back, but I have a lingering bronchial cough (no fever), and am in no shape to share the joys of camping with so many truly wonderful people.
We are amazed at this Camp-Inn community, and even were more amazed at the diligence and time and thoughtfulness of Craig and Carey when we needed on site service earlier this summer. Everyone we have met have been thoughtful, and we are so sorry to miss this 2025 event. Best to all. Please save us, if possible, a small for Deb and a 2x for me. I will be in touch after the event. We didn’t make it to CICO this year but rather came to the Crossroads of America Tear Jerker event at Brown Co State Park in Indiana for the weekend. It’s such a wonderful place! There are two 560’s here this weekend. Dan and Cathy from Bloomington in addition to us.
I’m proud to say we won the award for the best teardrop from a manufacturer!! Lots of positive comments about the Camp-Inn. Some really incredible home built campers here this weekend too.

We got home late this afternoon from a fun time at the CICO 2025 with some of the best weather you could ask for. We got there late Wed afternoon, but had to miss the Sat eve pot luck get together due to a family event on Sunday. As always we got to put faces to a few forum members we hadn't had the pleasure of meeting in person until CICO, and catching up with a few past CICO friends as well. We enjoyed the surprise Howdy visit to our campsite from Cary, Sweeney, Alan & Kevin, along with some good conversation! I was glad that Cary was able to continue his traditional weather permitting CICO fly-by ( with a little help from Gerry getting his plane freed from a Cherokee blocking its way).
Thanks again to Craig, Cary, Betsey, and all the Camp-Inn staff for putting together another successful CICO event!

Every year I think the same thing, this is just like summer camp as kids. The long drive, then your friends show up - and you pick up the same baseball game at the top of the 4'th. The convesations pick up right where they left off, and we share our thoughs, life events, pains, sufferign, joys, and tears. Finding comfort in the fact next year, God willing, we'll do it all over again. I love this gathering.
My only regret is that Mrs Sweeney couldn't make it again this year --- too much going on, not to mention her husband exposing her to some flu virus just before the trip -- with her recovering just a day or two before we were supposed to depart. Then, as she is recovering having an emergency in her pet rescue, requiring immediate attention and the painful decision .... "go without me..."
Being upset, I made the best of it - worried a little about bad weather. Perhaps its PTSD from 2 years ago where it rained for HOURS on Saturday. However, this year, we were given what I think may have been the most beautiful weather I've ever had at any gathering I've attended. KJCR 242000Z VRB02G03KT 9999 SCT040 22/18 A2992. IYKYK
The rest of the weekend, the weather continued to improve. By Saturday night after the pitch-in, the skies were cloudless azure. One of the most beautiful I've seen this year. The clean air of northern climates. After sunset around the camp fire, we saw the ISS pass over, turning my attention skyward. As people peeled away, a remnant maintained a vigil of the night sky. Around 11:00, the skies presented us a clear-eye vision of the milky way, and more than a few shooting stars. Over 30 minutes, we saw probably a half dozen along the treeline to the south.
Sunday, as we all depart, I'm thankful for seeing everyone, and sad that some weren't able tob attend. God willing --- we'll see you all next year.

@Sweeney - what’s the magic cleaner?Sweeney is trying to make us all look bad! Seriously he found the best product and he shined his in about twenty minutes.

I used the spray can, and microfiber towels. Takes about 1/2 to 3/4 of a can plus maybe 4-6 sheets of the microfiber towlels --- removes all kinds of dirt and ick. The first time I used it, I could definately feel the drag as the towel was pulled over the surface....subsequent re-cleanings were much eaiser. I'm not sure what it did or how it does it -- but its money well spent!

I'm cleaning just thea aluminum with it -- dawn & water is waht I use on the front windows....keeping it as gentle as possible.
