Took the trailer (#955 ...no name, at least not yet) out for 2nd trip. Two nights (Friday, Saturday-10/26 and 10/27) at Lake Ahquabi State Park (just outside of Indianola, IA). Camped with my brother and SIL. Great fall weather, beautiful fall foliage, great camp fires, good scotch whiskey and “s’mores”, good stories ...great time overall.

Looks gorgeous! Any fish in that lake?
Straight off the IA DNR website:
“Lake Ahquabi is providing quality angling for bass, bluegill, crappie, redear sunfish and channel catfish. Largemouth bass were surveyed up to 19.5 inches, with most fish between 11- and 16.5-inches. Bluegill were sampled in good abundance with decent numbers of angler preferred fish at 7- to 8.5-inches. Both white and black crappies are present. Black crappies make up the majority, with a good group of fish in the 9- to 10.5-inch range and topping out at 12.5-inches. There is a younger group of 6.5- to 7.5-inch black crappies coming up that should keep crappie fishing good over the next few years. White crappies were surveyed in lower numbers ranging from 9- to 11-inches. Redear sunfish are very abundant and reaching good size. Many redears were sampled in the 7 to 10 inch range. Channel catfish are present in good numbers and most abundant in the 12 to 15 inch range with fish surveyed up to 29 inches.(2017)”
.....probably could have just replied “yeah, there’s fish in that lake”
