Amco Paper Towel Holder

If this was mounted underneath the dining table, do you think it would clear the galley hatch with a roll of paper towels on it? Where did you mount yours?
I mounted mine to the hatch, to the right side. Clears fine — but I have to take care not to buy the common (now) fat rolls of paper towels. Average size fits fine

It won't clear the support arm for the table mounted like this.

I measured the dining table width at 23.7". The Kamenstein holder is 13.78" wide. Seems like there would be room as long as it was mounted 10-11" out from the "trailer side" of the table. So I guess you're saying the support arm lies beyond 9.9" of the end of the table. Shoot!

Casey,

The 23.7" measurement is when the table is folded open. When folded in half and stowed in the galley it is half that width. The support arm has to swing the full width of the table so anything mounted to the bottom of the table has to be removed before setting up the table.

Sorry, I was looking at the wrong dimension. I was thinking of mounting the holder underneath the dining table approximately where the red line is located in the photo below, as demonstrated by your lovely assistant. ;-) Looks like that dimension is ca. 31.7" at it's longest point. Assuming the holder was not mounted too close to the end, it seems from photos that it might clear the support arm.

Looks like local pickup only in Scottsdale AZ

That has to be some one who has never sold on ebay before. First, they making shipping super easy. Second, you can make addition profit from it ;) Today, I have more boxes than I know what to do with....not like in 2009 when no one bought anything except a retail store. I fill up a pickup truck bed every 2 weeks or so then struggle to find a 40 yard recycling dumpster that isn't full...

The red line is exactly where the support arm is located. It swings fully from side to side when the table is set up so there is no place on that surface of the dining table to fit a towel holder. Perhaps look at mounting under the cooler stand table next to the fire extinguisher.

Would it work to rig something up to mount it to the table leg directly so that paper towels would be perpendicular to the ground when the table is up? Could do it high up the leg but would still have to bend under the table to get to them. Thinking could use those plumbing connectors that tighten to attach the holder to the leg. I’ve seen people use those to put an extra water bottle holder on their bike.
Just a thought (from someone who doesn’t have a trailer yet but hopefully will very soon!).

Justin,

Sure, I would think clamped to the leg would work. The roll would be vertical like you said but would not interfere with anything.

Gotcha. Under the cooler stand might work well.

I mounted a grill attachment bracket to the table leg and what I found was you could not tighten the clamp too tight or the table leg will not extend. Probably does not have to be tight for paper towels but I did not want a propane grill to be loose so went back to setting it up on a picnic table.
