Bear Country Precautions

We are heading to Yosemite shortly. Have camped there for years but not with any kind of rv setup so we always used the bear boxes religiously for ANYTHING that had an odor. Now we will be camping a little differently. What has been people's experience with the tears? As long as the galley hatch is closed and locked can the drygoods food stay in there? I am sure we will still be using the bear boxes for the cooler and the toiletry bags but I would not look forward to emptying out all the storage in the back. (I guess some major claw marks would give KOOLLDY a badge of honor). Thanks, all.

Wax the tear with bacon grease. That will get you the major claw marks.

I know I sound like a broken record with this one but make sure all dish water and your toothpaste rinsing goes down the drain of the sink into the gray tank. Not putting any of this on the ground is very important in bear country.
