Cleaning out the FF vent

Hi all-

I don't remember if this has been talked about, but we have been collecting a few little bits and pieces (leaves and such) on the Fantastic Fan screen. I noticed a thumb tab and tried pulling gently on it, with no budging. I didn't want to pull hard for fear of breaking something.

Has anyone cleaned that out, and how did you do it? Thanks for any advice!

That's exactly what I did yesterday. If you have the new fan with rain sensor you might want to make a copy of that instruction sheet and put it in your manual also.
