Montana, Missouri River Breaks

Junior Ranger
We are planning a 5 day canoe trip down the Missouri River in Montana in Sept. Totally self supported. I have done a fair amount of research, but any free advise from anyone who has done that trip would be welcome. As a matter of fact if anyone would to join us you are welcome....R

Get on the water by 8 AM. Winds are known to pick up early afternoon.
Excellent resource is National Boater's Resource Planning Guide. Fort Benton to Judith Landing and Judith Landing to James Kipp Recreation Area. Invaluable!
Visit The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Charlie Russell Museum, and First Peoples Buffalo Jump before your paddle if you're able.
Was there for a self-guided canoe trip 8-2018.
