I appologize for the loss of pictures on my previous posts.
Apparantly Webshots pulled the plug and all my photos and albums are in pixel heaven.
Although I am not going to try and restore the ones missing, I will try to find another service that I can use for future pics.

Any suggestions?

George

George, you might take a look at Flicker.com , it's basic site is free. I think Picasa.com also has free web storage that can be used in conjunction with Picasa installed (free) on your computer. I'm sure there are others...

Have a Merry Christmas!

Oh mann... I hate it when that happend... all that time and effort gone... I feel for ya, been there, done that...

I find Picasa works very well, plus you can set up a website.
all for Free
I've moved mine over to Google (previous one was hacked $#*%&W idiots) and figure Google is going to be around for awhile.

My site poolesweb.com for a sample on a free websit, but for the Picasa gallery, click on the menu "Galleries"... works very well, no complaints and you can control privacy etc..

Just goto Google.com and go from there (I'm auto logged in so can't see what non signed up person would see. Either that or search for picasa
https://picasaweb.google.com/home

No complaints on it so far. You download picasa to your computer and it will search and allow you to post on the website. Quick & Easy...

Hope that helps.. Mann, loosing all that, ouch... I feel the pain..

Thanks for your concern Frank. I still have ALL of the photos backed up on puter, but they were lost on my forum posts.

I think I will check out Google.

Thanks

Yah, same here...
finally figured out it's just too much of a hassle using my own provider website and to use a company/cloud that will be in business and will work the security and more important online backups..

I was using Joomla with Coppermine and got hacked I believe through Coppermine. Turned EVERY link to one link only.. Tried resetting/find/replace, wouldn't work.

They're smart as they plant it a month before so any backup would pick up the hack... devastating and depressing to say the least. All that work... gone...
heheh.. so keeping it simple and with the gallery/Picasa and web site all linked with a calendar/maps works well..

good luck..
