  3. Jim and Sue L.

Jim and Sue L. Junior Ranger

Aha!!! The list at last! I am dying to put our name to it, but Jim hasn't decided if he wants to drive all that way this year. It's 6am here and Jim is still snoozing away (he's the late sleeper - I get up with the birds) and it really, really isn't fair to work on him about going back east until he's had at least one cup of coffee and his morning paper...

But who says I have to be fair?

I'm saying an enthusiastic, though tentative, yes to being there. I truly miss seeing all of you and long to meet new members. Oh, the fun of it all: staying up late watching the stars and chatting by the fire, waking up to the dulcet tones of song birds and distant rifle shot from the early hunters (okay, those tones are not dulcet, but they do get you up), shopping for more great Amish goodies for the kids back home, squeakers, summer sausage, antique hunting, snoozing under the trees and pigging out on some gorgeous mass of cinnamon and sweet icing George has been messing with...and messing with George. You are going to be there, aren't you, George? And, of course, the grand feed-for-all pot luck dinner followed by that great fare-well breakfast, then all those hugs and good-bys... I'm getting misty just thinking about it.

Cortland apples! They'll be ripe and in the Wisconsin markets September. Jim loves my applesauce made with Cortland apples, but we don't get them out here. Gee, what a shame. He really loves that sauce....heh, heh, heh.

    Camp (and scheme) on,

    Sue

I'm so excited! I want to register NOW but I think I'll wait until Mark gets home so I can be sure to get the correct shirts ordered. Woo-hoo!!!

  5. Jim and Sue L.

Jim and Sue L. Junior Ranger

Hah!!! Just caught Jim telling our son that we MIGHT take the month of September to visit my uncle in Maryland.... Which is soooo close to Wisconsin...on the way home...if we take a certain route....and a few bypasses, so I'm gonna put my neck out and say 'YES", sign us up for CICO.

    Tentatively.

    So Jim says.

    I'll work on him.

    Sue

  6. Mark-n-Betsy

    Mark-n-Betsy Newbie

Yay! We are officially signed up for our first CICO!

Waiting is going to be tough.

Except for all the other adventures we'll be having with our RD between now and then.

    Life is good!

  7. Jim and Sue L.

Jim and Sue L. Junior Ranger

TA-DA!!! Officially registered! Got him to drop the other boot just now by saying, "I want to go!".

Now why didn't I do that sooner?

So excited to see everyone again.

    Yippee!!!!!!

    Camp on and how.

    Sue

I know the design and content of the tees, sweats and hoodies is classified and held on a strict Necedah-to-know basis.

But, Betsey, can you share what the material is? All-cotton, poly, blended, fleece? Could make a difference in our choice and sizing.

    Thanks!

  9. Betsey

    Betsey Camp-Inn Staff

Shirts are 100% preshrunk heavy cotton. Once in a while a 50/50 poly/cotton shirt will show up.

    Sweatshirts are 50/50 poly/cotton.

    Woo-Hoo!

    Three weeks to go....

We're camped in North Dakota, with a view of Minnesota (100 feet east). So we're closing in on you guys. We'll just hope the winds occasionally blow TOWARD your direction, rather than AWAY from it. But regardless, we'll be there! Save some warm weather for us.

Looking forward to meeting you and your new teardrop! Aren't these last weeks hard?? You'll have your teardrop soon!

Yes it's an anxious time. Packing necessary items today like electrical cords, water hose, tarps, trash bags, etc. I'm sure there will be something we forgot. That's one reason I'm glad our first trip will be the CICO event. Should be plenty examples of how it's done.
