In Tucumcari (our first night out) we put up our new Coleman Instant Screen House.
It was easy just as Bob and Kathy had said. We did not take it down at night as the weather was beautiful. We obviously had not camped in the south west before. During the night we woke to blasts of wind that shook the 550 -- it was too late for the Screen house - chairs, table and all strewn about. In the morning we found out from a couple in a pop up that their whole trailer had moved from where it had been. They both laid on the floor of the pop up to hopefully keep it on the ground.
And we were told by other campers that they never put screen houses or canopies up in the south west. So no shade for the rest of our trip. We were thankful we had not put up our side tent or our NB.

Jenn and Anna and Steve, yes we are ok - actually we had a great but fast trip. 3500 miles in 9 days. After a long winter in MN we were not about to let a few mishaps rob us of the adventure and warmth. And now we are home and it is going to snow again. Oh where oh where is spring. Thanks for your concern.
