Hello to all of you who have done this before, and whose wisdom eases our transition. We are Kathryn & Chris, two national park rangers who work in the desert of Canyonlands NP (Utah) each summer and return to Minnesota for winter. In just four days we'll make the short drive to Wisconsin to pick up 550 Ultra SUV #745 , and we couldn't be more thrilled.

The camaraderie on this forum assures us that we'll have friends wherever we land, and of course we'll make new ones every time we stop for gas or lunch. It is a privilege to be joining this small band of intrepid explorers.

We're passionate about discovering new places, and have poked around the desert southwest for six years finding ruins and rock art and deep canyons and peregrine falcons -- and the list goes on and on. We're happiest when we're in the wilderness (hence the SUV version with solar) and away from crowded campgrounds. Nature renews our spirits -- that's why we love park rangering and waking up in beauty every morning!

We are looking forward to meeting many of you along our travels. Let the (next) adventure begin!

Welcome to the Camp Inn family! Oh, you work in such a great area, all the National Parks! One of the favorite adventures was a trip on the White Rim Rock road February 2009. Remember seeing two dirt bikes passing the truck. Imagine they ride the trail without permission frequently. Still a neat trail, fantastic views, and hope to repeat experience again.

    Let the next adventure begin!

Hey there, Kathryn and Chris! We LOVE the red rock canyon lands! How lucky for you two to ranger there. You are going to find your little TD will fit in the most unusual, twisty little spaces.

Maybe we'll meet. We're always going back to the canyon lands.

    Camp on,

    Sue and Jim

Hello... We are also about to pick up our 550 teardrop.

Arches is my favorite western park; I first went there in 1977, saw the Courthouse Wash Petroglyph before it was defaced. Hopefully we'll be out your way with our teardrop in the next few years.

Welcome! We were to Canyonlands this August for the first time - what an incredibly beautiful area. We wound up sleeping on the side of the road due to a huge washout that had us trapped. Quite an adventure. Enjoy that new camper!

Welcome to the Camp Inn family and to years of exploring in your TD. We expect delivery of our TD in April and can't wait to start exploring State and National parks. We have never been to Canyonlands NP but hope to someday.

    Welcome and safe travels.
