    2008 550 Ultra SUV #251 100 night stories

    To the best of my knowledge, below is the list of 100 nights. Not included are a few nights enjoyed in the garage! Hopefully I can figure out how to post a few pictures.

    Outing #1
    Trip from Elkhart, Indiana to Necedah, to home
    Dates:October 16 to 18,2010
    Total miles: 485
    Total nights: 2

    Uff Da Inn was purchased from a Pennyslvania couple,who met me in Elkhardt.
    2008 550 Ultra SUV #251

    First time I have towed anything! So I take on Chichago freeways.
    Arrived at Castle Rock, failed backing up, so found a nice grassy drive thru spot.

    Spent two nights in tear, then to factory, for upgrades, and minor water leak repairs.
    I returned a few days later to pick up for tow home.

    Trip: St. Croix State Park, Minnesota
    Dates: October 22 to 24, 2010
    Total miles: 352
    Total nights:2

    Geocaching event and general caching, no electricity availalbe, cool nights with no heat. Brrr
    Days nice.

    Trip: MOGA, Midwest Geocaching Outdoor Adventure, Rend Lake in Southern, Illinois
    Dates:March 24 to 27, 2011
    Total miles: 1260
    Total nights: 3

    Gathering of my closest 1000+ geocaching friends. All of us crashing thru the brush looking for ammo
    cans in the woods! Northern Breeze survived snow, sleet, hail, and rain and protects the teardrop.

    Trip: Cooler by the Lake teardrop gathering, Sheboygan, WI
    Dates: April 28 to May 1, 2011

    First teardrop gathering me. Learned the power of wind and rain and window drains soaking the bed!
    Managed to find a few geocaches along the lake shore.

    Trip: Ontario, Wi family reunion
    Dates: July 29 to July 31, 2011

    Family reunion near canoe capital of Wisconsin in the beautiful Kickapoo area.
    Dog not allowed in cabins, and someone needed to bring a tent, so Uff Da Inn worked great.
    The nights were very warm, wish Uff Da Inn had AC.

    Trip: Shelbyville Lake ACOE park near Des Moines, Iowa for a geocaching event
    Dates: August 4 to 9, 2011

    Another gathering with 100+ of my geocaching friends. We climbed, waded, swatter flyies
    looking for tupperware hidden in the weeds and woods. Camped with various friends who have tents.
    Galley ammenties are a hit!

    Nice weather, way too much buckthorn! Lots of caches.

    caching with good friend. There are no extra beds in his house, so I have to bring mine.

    Geocaching trip to find Michigan's oldest geocache near Traverse City.
    Traveled along Lake Superior shore to Copper Harbor, Mi.
    Not enough time in the UP. Way too many beautiful places to visit and not enough time.

    Fall camping, hiking in the hills trying to find geocaches.
    Cell phone works among the hills to receive a 2 am work call informing me a -80 freezer is not working.

    Well, we all have heard of someone experiencing the trip from hell, this was mine!
    Drove 4,700 miles, towed twice in one week, spent $3600 in car repairs, killed one deer,
    totaled one loaner car, one reckless driving ticket. Vacation is expensive.
    Traveled from Minnesota to Key West, Florida and back. Many stops inbetween.

    Brrr, baby it is cold. Snow still on the ground, no electricy to use heater.

    Brr, another cold, wet, windy camping weekend with teardrop friends.
    I gave up, went home early. Teardrop friend changed the flat tire.

    Searched hours for friends lost dog.

    Family reunion, geocaching, and hot weather. Oh, I want teardrop with AC!

    Trip: Boundry Waters Canoe Area, Sawbill Lake, near Grand Marias, Mn.

    More geocaching with good friends. Drove on "The Grade" 50 miles, coated teardrop with red
    clay. Hot, hot hot weather. Hiked 7 mile round trip to Eagle mountain which is Minnesota's
    highest point.

    Nice summary of your first 100 nights, Jean! It sounds as if you are practicing the 4-F Camping Rule, much like we are- Frequently, for Fun times with Friends and Family. You are most certainly the Queen of Geocaching! It was great to actually meet you at CICO. Looking forward to hearing about your further adventures with Uff Da Inn II. Congrats!

    Way to go Jean.
    Now I think since you are getting a new camper you can start over and get a new pin for you new camper.
    We just got our 100 night pin in the mail the other day.
    (Thank you Camp Inn and Kathy)
    2 of 3 our first year. With what we have planned for 2014 I think we can get the 3rd one 25,000 miler.
    Texas and southern tier in March -April maybe Maine and east in summer, and Colorado Archery Elk hunt in late August early September.
    Gee I love retirement.
