Wireless Rear View Camera

Does anyone have any experience with a wireless rear view camera setup. I am looking at several options, but want a system that will allow for a rear view during towing (hopefully wireless). Both Tadibrothers and RVS offer wireless systems, but after some research I wonder whether or not all that metal (the TD) will impact the wireless signal.

I asked this same question last night in an older thread. I bought THIS one which has a wireless viewing screen, a 12v port and switch, and a wireless transmitter that's supposed to have good range. I was thinking tapping the backup light above the plate and mounting the transmitter just under the body.

YOU would probably want to tap into the running lights, if you wanted a signal whenever you were towing.

Anyone have experience, or recommend a way to get to the wires near the license plate?
 
Thanks for the response. As you suggest I figured I would tie into the running lights (license plate night running light) and run with the headlights on while towing. Let me know how the transmission works when towing as I understand it can deteriorate due to the large amount of metal exterior skin on the CI trailer as well as increased speed.
 
I have this on my truck and it has worked well for me. Pearl - No New Car Required and it is solar powered so it recharges itself every time it is out and about with available sunlight. Should the battery get low due to a garaged vehicle for a while, the frame comes off easily with the special included tool and connects via USB for recharging. It does require use of the vehicles OBD port because it creates its own wireless wifi network connection and uses Bluetooth as well. With the use of an App, it turns your phone into the backup screen. It's pricey (but you can find bargains second hand) and lots of other technology has evolved since this came out a few years back so there are many options out there. Just wanted to make you aware this has worked well for me to date, I can see that this could be attached to the TD as one option, I can easily swap it from my real license plate on my truck and experiment over to my TD and will let you know how it works out.
 
I got mine installed. Wasn't hard to drill a small hole behind license plate, and run wires inside galley.
I have an issue with ground from my TV, so (for now) it's hard wired to battery. It's a minor inconvenience to remember to turn it on/off, but was HUGELY helpful getting accustomed to backing it up.

I'm happy with the plug in screen (didn't want to mess with an app or my phone).

Just a followup to my original post. Purchased a Tadibrothers wireless unit, but I ended up with a tremendous amount of interference while the vehicle is moving. Fortunately their wireless units can be easily converted to hard wiring which is what I ended up doing. The license plate camera is hooked up to the license plate light which allows me to run the camera by simply turning on the running lights or head lights. The monitor is a rear view mirror unit made to clip over your existing mirror but I ended up clipping it into a phone holder that sits in an AC vent which makes it easier to unplug and stow when not in use. All in all very happy with the setup. Thanks to all for your comments.

How has this worked out for you on your TD? We are picking up our new 560 in April and I am spending the winter shopping for things I may, or may not, need. Currently trying to find an easily installed, well working, wireless back up camera.
