Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

We had to say goodbye to one of our camping partners yesterday. Angus had just deteriorated too much to continue on. He liked hiking & sleeping in the camper. The rest of camping he hated. lol, he whined constantly the few times we took him. He can around eventually . Great little dog we got from the Humane Society. He’s going to be missed. Hardest thing losing a pet Take joy in knowing he will be at the Rainbow Bridge waiting

Finally after our long haul to CA in 24 I got our CampInn Travel Log updated. All written down on various pieces of paper, thought I was done and found another for the CICO weekend!

After our second summer we had 12 trips 2 multiple weeks, CA and out east through the Smokies. 70 nights total 15032 trailer miles

I think we are getting our use of the camper…?

Oh no! I am so sorry :(

We came as close to freezing as we've been last night. In anticipation of that, since our bougainvillea shrubs have been the only plants we have had get severely damaged with frost in the past despite being covered, I rigged up a misting system on a timer to keep them misted for the 4 coldest of the overnight hours. Last night was the test, and it passed!

This permenant digs for you now these days? Got to admit, I'm just a little jealous ;)

83 degrees here today in Florida. Some record highs are being broken.

PBBBBBTHHH!!!!!

As for us, it has been pretty nice the last week -- but we're back to 20's at night starting tomorrow. I'm getting a lot of furnace calls. It just stink thats they are 'too far' away for me to take responsibility

Weather here in PA is icy. Had to pull the TD out of garage to work on daughter's Prius. Hope the aluminum skin doesn't get funky and the winterizing treatment works.

EEEK.

We're looking at SIGNIFICANT cold weather next weekend --- sadly, the weekend is the annual Shiveree -- though I think -4 may be enough to disuade me --- actually, its the salt on the roads that will really do it. I just am not ready to embrace the patina to that degree.

I've camped at 10-15 degrees, and it was just fine - those were times I was glad I opted for the furnace. During that trip, I used my "Mr Heater" big buddy to keep my Gazelle (clam like) tent a comfortable mid 50's.

Speaking of Mr Heater --- I am doing some testing on a new REALLY cool product that I will be 'reviewing' in the very near future - you're going to like this!

I’ve camped in the cold and snow in mine. Spent a night in my old one in Fargo when it was -35F.

F --- YIKES! That's almost to the point where the F and C align -- meaning -39 is -39 -- No need to specify F or C :) I've seen that once. Thanks, but I'll pass :D

This channel is very interesting... where they say -39 isn't all that bad.

I have a Siberian cat. Meet Little Girl. She topped out at 18 pounds before I put her on a diet.

Polydactile? Those feet look huge!

I've not done that, though I have slept in it in lower temperatures...never -35. Probably around 5 or so -- the furnace saved my bacon I'm really upset weve got this cold spell and snow. MOstly the snow. The streets are white with salt already - so I'm not taking her out in that.

Yes. It’s common in Siberians. Think of them as snowshoes. She loves looking at the snow and cold outside.
And she spends a lot of time on her heated pad.

We saw three tiny snowflakes while we were at our daughter’s this weekend in Mooresville, NC. Looks like the upcoming weekend may be our winter weather eve for the season. Hopefully it’s snow and not freezing rain.
