I-85 must be Cursed!

I-85 must be cursed. Two weeks ago, a tanker overturned on the bridge over Lake Hartwell that is the state line with Georgia. The cleanup closed the southbound lane for a couple of days.

Today a a truck (18 wheeler ) overturned at Exit 19 as part of accident and this one included a hazardous waste spill.

Later in the day at mile marker 10, three18 wheelers and a tow truck collided in the median which caused a big fire. One was full of Chips Ahoy cookies. The cookies were a loss. This was a chain reaction to the earlier wreck.

Then at mile marker 23 near a rest area another truck fire took place.

I95 in GA and SC seemed to be cursed as well.

Best I85 Nascar story was an employee was moving company car between Concord and Charlotte airports. On I85 a bale of straw or hay fell off a truck in front of the car which the employee was driving. What he didn’t know was part of the bale became wedged underneath the car. The heat from the car caught it on fire, and it totaled the new company car with less than 1000 miles on it.

I-85 from where I am in S.C. near the Ga border all the way to Raleigh is white knuckle driving. Beyond Raleigh it gets desolate for a while. South of me is the 60 miles it takes to across the ATL metro area. God help you if get on I-285 there.

I-95 & I-75 are bad too.,
