    Hello From The Diamond State!

And here I thought the Diamond State was Delaware! I suspect most of the diamonds there are on fingers. Diamond State - Wikipedia. Greetings from the one and only Bluegrass State, where the grass is green and the weeds are bigger.

    Trailer Dolly

I've looked at the Trailer Valet, but concluded there wasn't space to mount it on my 550. I know there is a (still) more expensive model that attaches to the ball mount, but that seemed like overkill. Do you have a picture handy?

    Trailer Dolly

I got a trailer dolly shortly after we brought our TD home, when I realized that rolling the trailer jack over our pavers was not rolling at all, but a lift-push-grunt operation. Each well is about 4" across, and 1-2" deep--just perfect for chocking the jack wheel. I have a cheap model, without...

    Hipcamp?

Hipcamp and similar apps might work best where real estate is relatively cheap, I suppose. Of course, what looks nice in Indiana might not look so great in California. One thing we have found is that many hosts are doing Hipcamp and Harvest Hosts, so the sites aren't terribly different (right...

    Hipcamp?

Does anyone use Hipcamp? Since we were starting out our travels in a pandemic year, and had mostly avoided campgrounds in our tent-camping past, we had some anxiety about park, national forest, and private campgrounds (BLM would have been an exception, maybe, if we'd been out West). We found...

    About Those Maximum Lengths

Clearly that's the effect of global warming! Pretty soon my feet will fit under the cabinet when I lie on my back.

    Mediacenter Project

OK. I'm at least partly caught up. The Odroid NAS platform looks awesome, and such a deal! I totally agree with you about using open source solutions wherever they can be found or made. I'm still a little confused about the TV connection. Are you removing the LCD from the TV completely and...

    Rkerber Map

Yup. I've driven through most of 'em, just not with the TD.

    Mediacenter Project

I love the idea. So you're setting up a wifi-based NAS which will serve videos and audio to the Raspberry PI, which will drive the TV monitor, right? I haven't actually seen or played with a Rasperry PI, so I'm not familiar with its limitations (over the years, I have frequently assumed if some...

I forgot to mention: I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge -- all with the same results.

    Need Help Members Map (again)

I can see the map, it's put me off the coast of Guinea, which I think is 0,0 in terms of latitude and longitude. I can zoom and move the map so that KY is visible, but there's no pin anywhere in sight.

    Need Help Members Map (again)

I hate to raise this question again, but I haven't found anything that will work to get my pin on the Members Map. I've tried: Louisville, KY 38.25, -85.68 Louisville, KY, 38.25, -85.68 Kentucky Paris, France and a few other things They all seem to result in this:

    Newishbie

North Mills River. We had no skunk issues, just a fun little detour up a Forest Service road following a sign that said "additional parking." We are still learning to turn around, but there was a wide spot after a mile or two.
