    Power Requirements and Generators

I have had mine for over a year. Did not even start it till I had it a month, then started it on the fist pull. I am not sure where it was made. Costco gave me a two year warranty and Honda and Yamaha were only one year. I could buy two of these for the price of the above. Here are...

    Power Requirements and Generators

The generators you mentioned will handle this just fine. I purchased a Smarter Tools AP20001 which is similar to these models and used the Yamaha engine. It has the same 1600 w continuous and 2000 watt start up. You can purchase this at Costco for half what you will pay for the Honda or...

    Tire Chains

Oregon has a lot of stupid laws but they tend to adopt the liberal ways of California. Can't win.

    $500 breakaway cable

Well, I can attest to the value of the breakaway cable. On a recent trip going over a cattle guard at 70 mph trailer came loose and sparks were flying. All ok brakes set tongue ground down a little and needed to replace plug on trailer. Must say it got my attention. No damage to...

    Tire Chains

I don't think you would see any benefit from chains for your trailer. Chains are normally used on the drive wheels of your tow vehicle for traction.

    Furnace Furnace Option - Needed?

I would second what Pat had to say above. We picked ours up a couple years ago in November and drove home to Oregon. Love to just hit the furnace for a few minutes before retiring and again in the morning. Heading to Arizona for a few weeks. The air conditioning should be welcome for the...

Time to adjust your trailer brakes.

Sound like they are adjusted okay. Its possible one of the brake shoes are glazed from initially being over tight and now has a caused the shoes to not conform properly. The only way to remedy this would be to have the drums removed and checked by a reputable shop. Dave

Time to adjust your trailer brakes.

I would be curious as to what you find out. I just don't know how you can adjust the brakes without first raising the wheels so you can adequately adjust the pads to the drum. Possibly Cary could chime in here if he has any suggestions.

Time to adjust your trailer brakes.

I don't know how they can adjust the brakes without taking the wheels off the ground. It sounds like they made there best guess and left your brakes adjusted too tight. This might of glades the drums and causing the noise. You should probably have them looked at. At the least jack up one...

Time to adjust your trailer brakes.

I know I didn't want to climb under the trailer and do it, however it took only about 10 to 15 minutes and its done for the year. Why not do it before the camping season begins and you will have one less thing to think about when you are preparing for your next outing. Dave
