As a fellow new owner. I plan on filling mine with Pinot Nior or another fine wine from the NW. I did use mine on the way home from picking it up but I had the luxury of the heater. Two minutes and you are toast. Have Fun. Dave

They are required in Oregon anything over 1000 lbs I think so as it was relatively inexpensive relative to the total it would probably be a good idea especially once you visit Oregon you would not want to live anywhere else. Dave

Rich I think you need a $500,000. motor home to appreciate it in. I added speakers both in and out plus a fm/am cd with power antenna. I think that will be pleanty for this space. Now I just have to wait for some decent weather to enjoy our new 550. Dave

I would want to take a hard look at the 560. In other words find someone with the 560 that will let you and your kids and wife aboard and see if you have room. Kids do grow. I think the 550 and 560 are fine camping trailers for two people just not sure if you would be happy with 4 people in...

We picked up our 550 on Monday 10/29 #545. We had a good trip also, abit a little long to enjoy the journey over 4200 miles there and back. Weather was perfect going and coming. We saw the wildlife refuge in Necedah where a bald eagle was there to greet us as well as his brother or sister...

Reading earler post some have made handles out of straps for the Dometic. Will the Dometic not fit with the handles it comes with? Since I will be picking my trailer up in the near future should I just leave the handles off? I don't plan on a lot of camping on the way back as I would like...

Thanks everyone for the education. I had assumed it was the same for all models and thought maybee it slid into some kind of rail on the tear drop and then poles or stakes. I will see for myself in two weeks. Thanks again. Dave

If it is that hard to set up that you need a video it seems maybee the tent or the way it attaches needs to be addressed. It should not take a nuclear engineer to hook up the side tent. Dave

Great trip thanks for the pictures. To Mick and Sarah who commented above I have never seen a more beautiful area than Glacier National Park and am planning on going back there when I get my trailer. This is a must place to visit for anyone. Dave

I pick mine up on Monday the 29th. I plan on taking 3 days for the drive there. 2000 miles. ps I could also use the pontoon option as I live in Oregon where it rains a bit. I am sure we will both enjoy our new purchase. Dave
