Recipes From CICOs Pot Luck Dinner

It was fun seeing everyone again... I think I'm still full from Saturday night's pot luck. We would love to be able to re-create some of the dishes, so I am asking you to post the recipe for the dish you brought to the pot luck dinner here. Thanks everyone! Michelle

CICO 2012 Attendee Tips: Breaking Camp / Road

Sherry, Here's one I would have suggested, "open window security". Cut (2) 1/4" wood or metal dowels in 8" lengths to drop in the window track. This allows the window to be cracked about an 1/2" or so for air flow but prevents it from being opened all the way from the outside. I painted...

    Itinerary 9th Annual Camp-inn Camp-outt

Haven't been paying attention, is this menu current? Michelle is bringing a Napa Salad …went over well at a recent TearJerker gathering. I'm bringing my plate.

    Laying out the welcome mat

We use a Cgear mat/rug … 10x10 folds to 22x16x5-1/2http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/cgear-sand-free-mat/11313 Not sure where it will end up for traveling, fits almost everywhere. Probably keep it with the tent(s) which are being moved from the TV to the galley, since the Dometic...

    Update Leaving The Nest

Gary, did Eric use XXX or Woody Wax? Did he do everything by hand or did he use a buffer? I've used XXX and applied in small 2'x2' sections but it streaks where they overlap. Did you notice any overlap areas after Eric was finished? I'd be interested in knowing the tips he shared with you...

    Another Stolen Camp-inn!

Be advised, LoJack doesn't work everywhere. If local law enforcement isn't linked to LoJack, it's useless. So I'm guessing if you're out in the boonies you might be in that 10% non-recovery category they don't like to talk about. Also note that it's a constant drain on you battery as it's...

    Battery Array Project

Great work Mick and Evan! The pictures and narratives really help on these type of DYI projects. Is there a time frame for being able to link an original battery with a couple new ones? Mine is about 9mos. old and has never been run down below 11.5v Now, has anyone come up with a...

    October delivery - can't wait

Hi Christopher and Mindy, Welcome to the family. We're getting quite a little group of CI owners going in Virginia. We're in the Lake Gaston area. It's a shame your trailer won't be ready to pick up for the CICO, it's a really good time and a great way to see how everyone personalizes their...

    550 / 560 Feeling Guilty That I Might Choose 560 Over 550

Rick, Welcome to the family. We were in the same spot you are a year ago. Rented a 550 for last year's CI-CO, by the end of the year ours was ready for delivery. You won't regret joining us and getting a firsthand look at what CI is all about.

    Lug Nuts

When I bought the wheel locks I also changed out the rest of the lug nuts to the same size that are on my TV. It was only a few bucks and I only need one wrench for both. Got lucky too, the spare for the Flex fits the CI as well.

    Volcano vs Cobb

Jenn, Thanks for the tip, we've been kicking the Cobb idea around for awhile but couldn't justify the price… just ordered one. Michelle wants to know where you stow it, in the car or the trailer? OK Betsey, how do you make your own fire starters?

    Fridge / Cooler 12v Cooler

We have a Dometic, drove six hours with it in the galley on 104° day… can't imagine the temp inside the galley. Although the contents didn't stay as cold as they normally would @ 32° things were still chilled. Once we got set up, moved it to the side table, added a little shade, all was...

    Fridge Handle idea!

OK, I was waiting until I had a chance to get these and put them on the frig before I shared them with you. But since everyone is thinking of taking Sarah's brilliant idea to the next level this might be the answer. Joan is on the right track, but I agree that the weight of a loaded frig and...

    A big howdy from Austin

Timothy, Welcome to the forums, there's a lot of information waiting for you on here. We recently had an opportunity to spend a weekend amongst twenty+ other teardrops. The mix was several homebuilts of varying styles and quality, a couple T@B's, several Little Guys including their...
