I saw someone mention on one of the posts here that they had tied their fresh and gray water tanks together, and just used a bucket for gray water. Of course you'd want to do this before you use your gray tank. Was wondering if anyone else has done this when you had yours built and if so what your experience has been. Seems like the pros and cons when you are dry camping are:
Pros -
1. Twice as much fresh water
2. No need to stop anywhere to dump the gray water after camping.
Cons -
1. You lose the ability to conveniently carry your gray water to a dump station. Need to dump the bucket a few times, may involve carrying it a ways.
Anybody do this? Of course it seems like it would only matter if you are dry camping more than a few days with no other water supply.
