Itinerary 9th Annual Camp-inn Camp-outt

Kathy we are planning on arriving Friday hopefully before dusk. It will be fun to meet you and many others. Safe travels.

Council Grounds SP, WI, the night of the 26th,

Can I suggest taking 107 south out of Tomahawk WI and just before entering Merrill 107 goes right by the entrance to Council Grounds. 107 following the Wisconsin River is a very beautiful drive. The leaves are starting to change around here.

Leaving Council Grounds if you go south on County Road K will take you to Wausau. County Road K intersects with Hwy 51/ I39 in Wausau. It is a straight road south but offers better views than Hwy 51.

For all you folks going to the Camp-Outt and are taking the factory tour, say hello to my new 55o Ultra. It will be completed around the 15th of Oct. and I will be picking it up the 25th. Sorry it won't be ready in time for me to attend. Take pictures.

I plan to be coming Friday with my home-built from Poynette. I haven't been able to make it since 2006. I am excited to be back!

we will have our side tent and Northern Breeze along on the camp outt but due to the predicted weather we do not plan to put them up. If there is anyone who wants to try putting one up to help in their decision making let me know.

we are also bringing our northern breeze. Well 1 of our 2....if anyone is interested in purchasing it, it is for sale....we really only need 1. Long story for the campfire...

Pot Luck Time!

We will have our potluck dinner on Saturday about 5:30pm. Below is a list for the potluck. If you know what you will be bringing/making, please email me or post here, I will add your item to the list.

If you are unsure what to bring, that’s okay. There will be a list posted at the Camp-Outt so you can get some idea of what others are bringing and to which you can add your name and dish.

Dessert will be provided…our usual Dutch oven cobblers and homemade ice cream (but you have to help turn the crank!). :D

At this time, we are expecting about 150 people! Woo-hoo! Our largest group to date!

Just a reminder that when making a potluck dish, plan on it feeding about 6-8 people and that will make enough for everyone without a ton of leftovers.
Note: For those of you who may be cooking with a Dutch Oven, a 10" one will be plenty big enough; a 12" will feed A LOT of people! :o

There is a large grocery store within 10 miles of the campground in case you need supplies.

See you soon!

We arrived at CICO tonight and set up in the dark - we'll see how things look in the light of day tomorrow...

So that was you! Some of those who were gathered under the Big Blue Tarp when you came by speculated that it might be you! I was asked "Who is that?" To which I replied "You mean the Camp-Inn?" Honestly, they all look alike to me! :D

Quite a few have already arrived & are all settled in. Moon is full, sky is clear, wind is calm & the temps are quite cool. It was about 23º last night...warmer tonight but still pretty chilly.

So good to see some of the "usual suspects" as well as meeting newcomers. Looking forward to seeing many more tomorrow!
